Haroon Solutions CPA Professional Corporation (“Haroon Solutions CPA”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or become a client. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the professional and confidentiality obligations that apply to Chartered Professional Accountants in Ontario.

Information you give us. When you use our contact or consultation form, subscribe to our updates, email or call us, we collect the details you provide, such as your first and last name, email address, phone number, the subject of your enquiry and your message.
Client information. If you engage us for accounting, tax or advisory services, we collect the information needed to deliver those services. This may include identification details, Social Insurance or Business Numbers, income and financial records, banking information, tax documents, and information about your business, family or estate where relevant to the engagement.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, our servers and any analytics or security tools may record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and the date and time of your visit. We may use cookies for this purpose (see section 6).
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and requests for a consultation.
- To provide, manage and bill for the services you engage us for, including preparing and filing returns with the Canada Revenue Agency and other authorities.
- To send tax alerts and firm updates if you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us.
- To meet our legal, regulatory and professional obligations, including record-keeping, quality reviews and anti-money-laundering requirements.

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Canada. In that case your information may be subject to the laws of that country.

We use physical, organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. These include restricted access, secure storage, password protection and encryption where appropriate. Our team members are bound by confidentiality obligations.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive financial documents through our website contact form. Ask us for a secure way to share them instead.
5. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law and professional standards. Tax and accounting records are generally kept for at least the period required by the Canada Revenue Agency and our professional obligations.
